Merchandising Manager / Team Lead
The Merchandising Manager / Team Lead is responsible for leading a team of frontline employees to merchandise orders for key customers in a fast-paced direct store delivery environment. Position is responsible for full-time Merchandisers, whose primary set of responsibilities is to service large volume stores, such as supermarkets, Mass Merchants, etc.
This role will drive superior marketplace execution and customer service, share growth and profit performance. As the manager of full-time Merchandisers, this role will have the authority to interview, hire, train, promote, and manage all aspects of the performance of the full-time Merchandising team.
Specific management duties, include but are not limited to, interviewing, selecting, training, and scheduling Merchandisers, assessing performance against plan metrics, and providing feedback on performance on a regular basis.
- Early start time (around 4 : 00 AM), Thursdays through Mondays, 50-60 hour workweek.
Responsibilities
Apply knowledge of merchandising principles to drive productivity.Manage multiple priorities while allocating resources between accounts.Brief the frontline employees on scheduling and meeting delivery goals.Anticipate potential customer issues; apply contingency planning to avoid customer dissatisfaction.Train frontline employees and utilize PBC processes and tools.Understand cost per unit constraints when meeting customer needs.Help employees prioritize the work and promote teamwork.Supervise daily operations, delegate tasks and monitor progress.Set productivity and service targets, measure performance to drive accountability.Compensation and Benefits :
The expected compensation range for this position is between $59,400 - $92,600.Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Bachelor's degree and / or equivalent work experience.A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees.1 years of sales and / or merchandising experience.Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings and or weekends.Must be willing and able to lift up to 40 lbs. periodically.This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States.
