Responsibilities Work in the Labor and Delivery unit of an acute care hospital Care for high-risk obstetric patients within a culturally diverse population RNs circulate for cesarean sections Night shift position working 3x12 hour shifts from 18 : 00 to 6 : 30 Required to work every other weekend Uses Epic EMR Floating required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed Must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays : Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year First time travelers are accepted Locals accepted, subject to a 50 mile radius rule Former staff must wait 3 months before returning as travelers Scrub attire is any solid color, typically Royal Blue or Navy Free parking provided initially with assignment parking assigned during orientation Online training modules must be completed before start and annually Requested time off must be included at the time of consideration Requirements Active CA RN license required at time of consideration Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications required Minimum of 1 year recent Labor and Delivery RN experience required Experience with Epic EMR required Willingness to float between units and affiliate hospitals Ability to provide at least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years in a comparable setting Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-626149.
