Position Summary :
The Numero Group is seeking a Marketing Coordinator based in our Chicago Headquarters. This is a newly created role that will assist in all aspects of marketing, from story direction, asset management and creation, and analytics reporting. This role has a huge focus on content creation for our social media platforms, including generating posts for Instagram and TikTok, writing captions, filming videos, taking photos, and preparing the various marketing emails throughout the week. Ideal candidates must be creative and extremely comfortable, and familiar with social media best practices.
Responsibilities :
- Create excellent Social Media content on the daily. The single most important aspect of this role is to manage, create, and refine relevant and on-trend content and strategies for Numeros Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and additional ever-evolving social media platforms.
- Story Translation : Translate our vast well of historical musical information and stories, photos, and videos into appropriate and engaging marketing materials for our various channels.
- Craft communications : weekly newsletters, social media content and captions, press releases. Must be able to convincingly write creatively.
- Monitor, engage, and report on various social community initiatives and overall strategy effectiveness.
- Liaise with our partners at radio, distribution, retail, brands, outside publicists, and digital marketing partners to coordinate text, assets, dates, and links.
- Assess and apply market research data gathered from customer surveys and market feedback, comments, engagements, and interactions.
- Contribute and assist on various other marketing tasks and initiatives throughout the year, such as periodical development, events, merch development, etc.
The Ideal Candidate Demonstrates :
You dont have to be in love with social media, but you need to be an authentic, experienced, and fluent user and creator. This is a role for someone who spends a lot of time on their phone scrolling and sees the value as a consumer and marketer.You need to be creative. You dont have to come up with all the ideas, but you need to be able to recognize content and algorithmic trends and present many ideas for posts along the lines of what is currently being presented on our channels in line with the evolving Numero voice.You will need to be able to film and edit videos. Cutting down a couple minutes of footage to whatever length and size the algos are deeming best that week, or laying out a simple storyboard and script for an ad and filming on your phone, that is required. Final Cut Pro and Adobe Premier experience is a plus, but skills in editing within TikTok or IG are just fine.You will absolutely need to be comfortable composing, shooting, and editing a carousel of photos across a variety of subjects - Mostly records, t-shirts, and books, but occasionally people and other music ephemera. Having an eye to choose and present the most interesting subject out of a group is a must. General Photoshop skills are a strong bonus.A passion for vinyl and independent music culture, especially catalog and archival releases, with direct experience supporting and marketing independent and unknown music across a wide variety of genres. If you arent already familiar with and into a few of Numero Groups scenes and genres and older stuff in general, this is probably not going to be the right fit.Solid familiarity with the independent arts / music ecosystem and the marketing activities within. This job is part of the marketing team, so being marketing aware is crucial. The most successful people in this role have been artists, promoters, and brand reps in other aspects of their lives, so they get it.Strong knowledge and passionate level of interest in established and emerging social media platforms. When a new platform drops, you will have to investigate.Informed understanding of modern social media algorithms and hooks, and the drivers that impact them.Demonstrated self-management skills, including goal setting, performance management, developmental feedback, and culture shaping.Exceptional attention to detail.
