Senior Principal Contracts Specialist
A Senior Principal Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting the management of the company's contractual agreements with customers, in the drafting, negotiation, and execution of contracts, as well as ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions. The Senior Principal Contracts Specialist also maintains accurate contract records and databases and assists in identifying and mitigating any contract-related risks. Additionally, this role requires strong communication and organizational skills, as the Senior Principal Contracts Specialist will work closely with program managers, legal teams, and customers to ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
Key responsibilities include acting as a focal point for all contractual communications and commitments to customers, advising and supporting the business team on issues relative to assigned contracts, negotiating contracts within business goals, participating as a key member of the proposal or program team to address contract requirements, monitoring contract performance for scope changes, managing contract change process, and providing domain expertise in contract management.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities include demonstrated knowledge of applicable federal regulations, experience reviewing and analyzing contract documents, understanding of contract management principles, analytical / critical thinking skills, negotiation skills for contracts of moderate to high risk / complexity, flexibility, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills, innovative approaches, cross-functional collaboration, judgment and creativity to identify and resolve contract issues, a growth mindset for continuous learning, and proficiency in grasping and applying new information quickly.
Target salary range : USD $140,326.00 / Yr. - USD $149,000.00 / Yr.
