Compensation (examples) :

HVAC / Building Systems Technician I : $50,537.36 – $73,280.88 annually ($24.29 – $35.23 hourly)

HVAC / Building Systems Technician II : $53,569.85 – $77,678.10 annually ($25.75 – $37.34 hourly)

Summary Of Position

Under general supervision, the Facilities Maintenance HVAC / Building Systems Technician I is responsible for repairing and maintaining facilities HVAC and electrical systems; follows procedures and processes to achieve end results; performs more complex technical duties requiring a higher level of knowledge and skill.

Required Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or GED plus five (5) years of maintenance / repair experience in commercial HVAC or electrical distribution; or equivalent experience substituting education with demonstrated proficiency.

Conditions Of Employment

Physical Demands / Work Environment

Physical requirements include heavy work with lifting 20–50 pounds regularly, with possible up to 100 pounds; occasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawling; exposure to extreme temperatures, odors, dust, chemicals, and other hazards.
