Security Officer - Dispatch Specialist

As a Security Officer - Dispatch Specialist in Hattiesburg, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more.

As a Dispatch Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at an educational location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and coordinating communications, supporting patrol teams, and responding to security-related incidents as they arise. You will remain highly visible, helping to deter unwanted activity while providing outstanding customer service to students, staff, and visitors. Pay Rate : $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule :

DayTime Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Monitor and coordinate communication between security personnel and campus staff using radios, telephones, and computer systems.
  • Dispatch security-related personnel to various locations on campus in response to incidents, emergencies, and routine requests.
  • Document and log all calls, incidents, and dispatch activities accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring access control systems, alarms, and video surveillance feeds to help to deter unauthorized activity on campus.
  • Communicate with local law enforcement and emergency responders as required, following site-specific procedures.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns from students, faculty, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Remain aware of ongoing campus activities and relay relevant information to Allied Universal team members as needed.
  • Support campus emergency response activities by initiating appropriate notifications and following established protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Possession of a valid Guard Card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
