Job Description

As a Security Officer - Utilities Patrol in Ellisville, MS , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a vital role in maintaining a secure environment at a utilities location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to everyone on site. You will be expected to communicate clearly and professionally while supporting access control measures. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergencies as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the utility location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activities and / or conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed while maintaining security-related protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
