Dietary Aide

The Dietary Aide will assist nurses and certified nurse assistants in the serving of trays at meal time and removal of trays following meal time.

Essential Job Functions

• Fill water glasses and take to each resident.
• Distribute clothing protectors to the residents who desire / require them.
• Pass trays to residents, prepare food such as cut meat, pour milk, open crackers, etc.
• After meal, pick up trays and record the amount eaten on the record sheet for those residents whose intake is being monitored.
• Clean dining room area : return trays and dirty dishes, wipe off and sweep under tables.
• Ensures that sanitation and quality standards are met.
• Promotes safe / clean environment.
• Sanitizes food carts and dish washing counters after each meal,and keeps dish washing area clean at all times.
