Position Overview

The Madison office of SmithGroup is seeking a Mission Critical Electrical Engineer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis, design, and documentation of electrical systems for data centers, including power distribution, generators, UPS, grounding, and lighting. Experience with medium voltage (35-15KV) power systems is a plus.
• Provide comprehensive electrical engineering services for small to medium-sized projects independently.
• Revise, review, and coordinate construction documents.
• Mentor and train junior staff members.
• Develop solutions for electrical power distribution challenges within integrated architecture and engineering project teams.
• Contribute to sustainable design initiatives using software for electrical load calculations, short circuit analysis, generator loads, and lighting.
