Electrical Engineer | Ogden, UT

Nexeo HR is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to contribute to the design and development of advanced automated manufacturing equipment at a leading engineering and production site in Ogden, UT.

This hands-on, project-driven role is ideal for candidates with a strong background in electrical panel design and automation systems, who enjoy working in a collaborative, safety-focused engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Estimate electrical design labor and hardware costs for automation projects
• Select electrical components in collaboration with Automation Engineers
• Design electrical and pneumatic schematics using DraftSight (2D CAD)
• Design electrical enclosures in SolidWorks (3D CAD)
• Ensure machine safety in coordination with the Safety Department
• Maintain and update standard parts lists; source replacements for obsolete components
• Research new technologies and determine electrical interface requirements
• Apply or develop new electrical standards for emerging technologies
• Coordinate utility requirements (power, air, hydraulic, gas) with Facilities
• Create and manage electrical CAD data and drawings in EPDM
• Support machine build, debug, and buyoff phases
• Apply redlines and update electrical drawings throughout development
• Generate electrical spare parts lists for new projects
• Order electrical components and PPE tags

Schedule

Day shift | Monday – Friday | 7 : 30 AM – 4 : 30 PM
