About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead all aspects of maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement at a 465,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility . The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership and technical expertise with the ability to drive operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Maintenance & Operations
- Oversee maintenance, repair, and upgrades of facility systems and equipment.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost control.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 20 direct and 15 indirect maintenance personnel.Foster a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous learning.Budget & Performance Management
Monitor key maintenance metrics, including cost per pound and M&R budget adherence.Apply strong financial acumen to drive efficiency, including cost analysis using Agristats .Compliance & Safety
Implement and enforce safety programs.Ensure compliance with USDA, HACCP, sanitation, and pre-operation guidelines .Project Oversight
Oversee weekend rebuilds and major repair projects.Coordinate with M&R vendors to ensure timely and effective project execution.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in maintenance, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).7+ years of progressive maintenance management experience in a manufacturing environment (poultry / food processing preferred).Proven track record managing a shift or full maintenance operation.Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of :Welding, pneumatics, wiring, motor controls, PLC .Refrigeration and electrical systems (1–3 years).In-depth understanding of HACCP, USDA sanitation, and pre-operation guidelines .Strong leadership skills with ability to teach, observe, and mentor on the plant floor.Core Competencies
