JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title : Race Crew

Reports To : Race Crew Manager

Department : Special Events : Race Crew

Classification : Seasonal

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt

Role Responsibilities :

  • Set-up, tear down and maintain racecourses and on-mountain competition venues.
  • Provide physical and logistical support for JHMR signature events on-mountain or in base area.
  • Support in the operation and maintenance of electric timing systems.
  • Ensure safety of all courses & venues.
  • Troubleshoot timing and communication equipment.
  • Repair race material, i.e. gates, fencing, and tools.
  • Execute partner activations and events.
  • Support friendly and welcoming guest interactions at events and activations.

Are you the right fit? Below are some traits an exemplary candidate possesses.

  • Ski racing, freestyle and / or freeride competition knowledge are preferred.
  • Basic construction skills are helpful, not required.
  • Strong Alpine skiing / riding ability required.
  • Ability to carry up to 50 pounds while skiing / riding required.
  • USSA coaching or Alpine Official rating preferred.
  • High School Graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Previous Race Crew or on-mountain work experience preferred.

    • Equipment, Environment, & Physical Requirements :

  • Skis, Drills, Hand tools, Snowmobiles (Valid Driver’s License Required), Computer timers, Pop-up Tents
  • This is a job requiring the capability to do difficult physical work under the most extreme winter alpine conditions.
