Job Title : In-House Counsel

Liberty Home Guard is the country’s fastest-growing and top consumer-rated home warranty provider, licensed and regulated in all 50 states and Washington D.C. We provide homeowners with coverage for home systems and appliance breakdowns while also serving as a concierge for all home repair needs.

We are seeking an experienced In-House Counsel to join our legal team. This role will focus on claims management, regulatory compliance, and insurance-related legal matters. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in home warranty policies, contract law, consumer protection regulations, and dispute resolution processes.

Responsibilities :

• Provide legal guidance on home warranty claims, coverage disputes, and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee claims litigation, including arbitration, mediation, and court proceedings.
• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts related to warranty services, vendor agreements, and insurance policies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations governing home warranty providers.
• Manage and coordinate with outside counsel on active litigation and regulatory matters.
• Develop legal strategies to mitigate risk and enhance operational efficiency in claims handling.
• Assist in responding to consumer complaints, regulatory inquiries, and insurance-related legal issues.
• Stay updated on changes in home warranty, insurance, and consumer protection laws, providing timely recommendations to leadership.
• Oversee updates and improvements to the service contract terms and conditions
• Work with all operations, ranging from sales operations to customer service operations, to vendor service operations and much more, to ensure that they operate efficiently as a true partner and stakeholder to operations.
• Predictable, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of this job.

What You’ll Bring to the Team :

Education & Experience :

Pay Rate : $170k-210k annually.
