At Hearst Connecticut Media Group we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual with strong sales acumen and technical aptitude to join our team as a Sales Development Representative. You will be at the forefront of our sales efforts, responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, qualifying, nurturing, and selling to high-quality leads that feed directly into our sales pipeline. You will work closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to execute targeted prospecting strategies, engage potential customers, and actively drive new business.

What will you do?

  • Drive Success with Innovative Tools : Utilize our AI-powered software to enhance every stage of the sales cycle, from prospecting and planning to presenting and closing deals.
  • Lead Nurturing & Qualification : Proactively source, engage, and qualify inbound and outbound leads. Nurture these leads through personalized communication and strategic follow-up with the goal of moving them through the sales funnel.
  • Outbound Prospecting & Selling : Execute high-volume outbound prospecting through cold calling, email campaigns, and social selling to generate new leads, uncover business opportunities, and close initial sales.
  • Inbound Lead Qualification : Efficiently follow up on inbound inquiries and leads from marketing campaigns, events, and digital channels. Qualify and sell to these leads by demonstrating the value of our offerings.
  • Sales Target Achievement : Consistently achieve or exceed monthly targets for qualified opportunities and sales conversions, directly contributing to overall sales goals.
  • Research & Preparation : Conduct thorough research on target accounts to identify decision-makers, pain points, and opportunities. Personalize your sales approach for better outcomes.
  • Pipeline Management : Log all sales activities and interactions in Salesforce.com, maintaining accurate records of lead status, progression, and sales outcomes.
  • Product Presentation : Confidently present and sell the company's content marketing platform to prospects, demonstrating its value and benefits.
  • Continuous Improvement : Continuously refine your sales techniques and build a deep understanding of the company's products.

  • What we're looking for :

  • 1-3 years of experience in a sales-oriented role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets, particularly in lead nurturing and closing sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field (preferred).
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing technologies, online advertising, and industry trends.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to engage, nurture, and influence senior-level decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, Microsoft Office, and experience with lead generation tools like HubSpot, Seamless.ai, and Leadfeeder is a plus.
  • Highly self-motivated, competitive, and driven to succeed in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
