Cincinnati Magazine seeks a designer with a passion for event and client-oriented design.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Interpret client's business needs with high quality print ad conceptualization
- Create print ads for Cincinnati Magazine monthly publications as well as client publications
- Design promotional print and digital assets, signage, menus, etc. for Cincinnati Magazine branded events : Fall and Spring Savor, Slice Night, Best Restaurants, Taco Week, Restaurant Week, and more
- Manage multiple deadlines : designer will be working on ads for multiple books and event promotions with varying deadlines at a time
- Design within various branding styles
- Create sales sheets by established deadlines
- Source pick-up art and stock art
- Think creatively to produce new ideas
- Work collaboratively with events team, account executives, and other designers
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications :
Highly proficient with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Knows not only how to use, but when to use eachA positive attitude and flexibilityStrong organization skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects while still meeting necessary guidelinesSelf-motivated, independent worker, capable of executing project guidelines without continuous oversightComfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environmentStrong communication skills; designer may meet with clients in person from time to timeStrong attention to detailPortfolio that shows off layout design skillsKnowledge of modern printing processes is a plusEducation / Experience :
College degree in communication designAt least 3 months internship or co-op experience preferredApplication Process :
