Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 public school located in Grand Junction, CO, is seeking a skilled School Psychologist for a full academic year contract. This position offers the opportunity to support students from elementary through high school by applying your expertise in psychoeducational assessment, collaborative intervention, and counseling within a dynamic educational environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct prehensive psychoeducational evaluations to assess cognitive, academic, emotional, and behavioral functioning.
- Participate in Eligibility Determination and Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings following Colorado Department of Education (CDE) guidelines and IDEA regulations.
- Collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to design and implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions.
- Provide short-term individual or group counseling and crisis support to students.
- Serve on Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and Response to Intervention (RTI) teams.
- Assist with Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Support district initiatives related to social-emotional learning (SEL), trauma-informed care, and school safety.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records, pleting reports promptly.
- Uphold ethical standards as set by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP).
Required Qualifications :
Masters or Specialist-level degree (Ed.S., Psy.S., or equivalent) in School Psychology from a regionally accredited institution.Hold or be eligible for a Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services License with School Psychology endorsement.Strong knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, FERPA, and related legal requirements.Expertise in assessment, consultation, collaboration, and culturally responsive practices.Preferred Qualifications :
