Quality Engineer
The Quality Engineer leads quality control initiatives to ensure consistent production that meets established standards at COMPANY. This role requires a hands-on, metrics-driven professional who delivers measurable results. The Quality Engineer reports directly to the Product Line Manager.
Essential Duties / Responsibilities
Quality Assurance & Control
Provide daily quality control support to production operations in designated manufacturing areasPartner with Quality Manager to investigate customer returns and determine Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)Execute internal process audits per established schedules and requirementsOperate precision inspection equipment including CMM, micrometers, calipers, depth gages, and height gaugesReview and validate inspection operations to ensure complete dimensional verification at appropriate process stagesProcess Improvement & Problem Solving
Drive manufacturing process improvements to enhance OEE, reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency using Charter and A3 methodologiesAnalyze scrap and rework trends to identify root causes and implement corrective actionsEvaluate process data to optimize and streamline inspection plansProvide timely disposition of suspect parts in collaboration with Manufacturing and Operations Engineers (24-hour turnaround)Conduct and evaluate capability studies on existing and new equipment and processesLead Gage R&R studies to ensure measurement system accuracyDocumentation & Compliance
Maintain working knowledge of Quality Management System requirements supporting AS9100 / ISO9001, Nadcap, and customer-specific certificationsPrepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation and quality records for process improvementsGenerate customer-specific quality documentation including Part Change Notifications (PCN) as requiredEnsure quality documentation aligns with current processes and coordinate updates following Technical Change Notices (TCN) and Engineering Change Notices (ECN)Support development and maintenance of work instructions and Best Practice Procedures (BPPs)Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :

The Operations Team—consisting of the Product Line Manager, Operations Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, and Quality Engineer—collaboratively manages all operational aspects of assigned areas with a performance target of 85% OEE or higher.
