Founded in 1991, Testa Produce, Inc. is the successor entity to the original Dominick Testa and Sons. The members of the Testa Family continue to work at Testa Produce, Inc. Testa Produce's roots date back to 1912, with founder Dominick Testa selling stalks of celery door-to-door out of a basket. The creation of the Chicago Terminal Produce Market provided a central selling location for years. As the restaurant industry evolved, so did Testa Produce. In 2011, Testa expanded yet again and moved into its new home : a 91,300 square foot facility to accommodate an ever-growing list of restaurants, hotels and foodservice customers.

Essential Functions :

• Create and send purchase orders in Produce Pro, our ERP, based on lead time, usage, and minimum order quantity
• Confirm purchase orders in Produce Pro as it relates to pricing and quantity
• Follow up with vendors regarding purchase order’s overdue
• Keep up with “unconfirmed” purchase orders
• Keep all “open orders” up to date
• Work with vendors on purchase order issues such as returns or credits
• Keep up to date vendor information such as item number’s correctly stated in Produce Pro, pack sizes weights, etc.
• Request and maintain product specifications and Certificate of Analysis (COA’s)
• Work with Inventory control on rotation and code date issues (code date report)
• Work with Inventory teams on damage or quality issues and resolve through proper channels
• Minimize “short items”
• Work with Receiving Teams on inbound issues as they relate to delays, damage, etc.
