Position OverviewThe Student Photographer / Documentation Assistant supports the Visual Arts program by photographing and documenting student artwork for archival, exhibition, and promotional purposes. This position requires technical skill in capturing high-quality images of both 2-D and 3-D work, as well as proficiency in digital editing and record management. The role involves close collaboration with students to ensure their work is accurately represented and requires flexibility to meet diverse project needs and deadlines.Job Description30% Photography and Documentation
Photograph and accurately document student artwork, ensuring appropriate lighting and composition for both 2-D and 3-D pieces. 30% Student Collaboration Work directly with students to schedule and capture required images of their artwork, providing guidance and support throughout the process. 20% Image Editing and Post-Production Edit and enhance images using Adobe Photoshop to ensure consistency, accuracy, and readiness for exhibition or publication. 10% Digital Records Management
10% Image Quality Assurance Capture and deliver high-quality images that meet professional standards for clarity, accuracy, and presentation. Required Qualifications

Position RequirementsDuring the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must : (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA / GTA / GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).Employment Conditions(1) Student employees are not eligible for remote work arrangements unless an exception is approved by the unit leadership and HR.
(2) This is an hourly / non-exempt position.
