POSITION SUMMARY :
The Programs Team Coordinator provides high-level administrative and operational support to the Chief Programs Officer and the program leadership team. This role ensures the smooth functioning of the division through effective coordination of meetings, professional development, budget tracking, dashboard reporting, and internal communications. The Coordinator will be a key connector within the division—helping the team stay organized, informed, and aligned with Akin’s strategic goals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
Meeting & Event Coordination
- Plan, schedule, and facilitate logistics for division-wide and leadership team meetings.
- Prepare agendas, materials, and follow-up notes to ensure action items are tracked and completed.
- Coordinate team development activities, retreats, and planning sessions.
Professional Development Support
Organize and schedule professional development opportunities for the division.Track participation, feedback, and outcomes of training sessions.Support alignment of development activities with organizational priorities.Budget & Dashboard Reporting
Assist the Chief Programs Officer in tracking division budgets and expenditures.Compile and prepare program dashboard reports in collaboration with finance and program managers.Maintain organized records of budget data and performance metrics for decision-making.Communications & Information Management
Serve as the primary coordinator for division-wide communications, ensuring timely updates and clarity.Maintain shared resources, files, and collaborative tools for program teams.Support internal knowledge management by organizing and disseminating relevant information.Division Planning & Coordination
Support the Chief Programs Officer in monitoring progress toward divisional goals and priorities.Assist in preparing presentations, reports, and briefing materials for internal and external stakeholders.Coordinate cross-program initiatives and projects as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :

Proven experience in administrative coordination, program support, or project management.Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and collaborative platforms (e.g., Teams, Zoom, project management tools).Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and build strong relationships across teams.Demonstrated ability to lead or support teams with diverse identities and backgrounds, including implementing inclusive practices across recruitment, supervision, and service delivery.Working knowledge of the principles of accessibility, inclusion, and belonging, and a track record of incorporating these values into decision-making and team development.SALARY RANGE AND BENEFITS :
We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position.
The target starting pay for this position is $86,382-$103,646, typically within the first half of the range. Actual offers will be based on individual qualifications relevant to the role and will not take an applicant’s pay history into account.
