Electrical- Project Manager

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Value and promote safe practices and environmental commitment in alignment with company values, policies, and compliance requirements
• Oversees construction sites, general contractors and workers to ensure a high level of Safety and Quality
• Strong planning skills, problem solving skills, troubleshooting skills, communication skills, project management skills, and leadership skills.
• Guide and work collaboratively with the Engineering Department on the design implementation process, including conceptual, schematic, design development and construction documentation of large capital projects; including scheduling, coordination, and financial responsibilities
• Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures, and all code regulations
• Review subcontractor bids, manage and close projects
• Ensures that the project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract document and good engineering practices
• Develop and maintain project cost / change controls, and project budget and accounting records
• Performs change order estimating and manages change order negotiations
• Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules; oversee vendor work to ensure compliance with contract expectations and financial outcomes
• Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals
• Manage and review the progress of contractor's construction schedules
• Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes
• Reports the status of projects to business leaders
• Identify and address plant improvement opportunities related to structural improvements, equipment upgrades, and process improvements.
• Support of regulatory compliance including required testing, data collection, and record retention; Preparation and submission of appropriate permits and regulatory reporting
