Description :
The Test Engineer shall support test activities to best meet the project’s requirements. This position will be a part of a Verification Performance Testing team and will interface with cross-functional team members. You will be responsible for executing tests, analyzing data, documenting results, and ensuring that all documentation passes quality review.
Duties :
Execute verification testing on components of a surgical robotic systemWork in a multi-disciplinary team developing and monitoring verification tests for complex, electro-mechanical componentsCommunicate test related activities, results, and issues with multi-disciplinary team membersProvide input to engineers to assist in the development of test protocols and fixtures.Capable of developing fixtures, test equipment, and test methods to test engineering requirements.Designs, develops, and implements testing methods and equipment.Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements.Responsible for testing all samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area.Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices.Perform mechanical and electrical testing to evaluate new and existing products.Use Minitab or other software for data analysis.Must Have :
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other science related discipline with 0-4 years of Test Engineering experienceNice to Have :
Test Engineering experience in the medical device industryExperience with using Minitab for statistical analysisExperience with Gage R&R is preferredExperience in medical device product development or equivalentAnalytical with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skillsProficient in Microsoft office programs including Excel and WordOrganize and be able to prioritize workload, meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environmentStrong interpersonal skills : function as a “team player” and work constructively and cooperatively with all team members in the best interests of the programFamiliarity with standard test equipment such as force gauges, calipers, and data loggers
