Job Summary :

The Crew Chief is responsible for leading field crews in the execution of civil engineering projects, including surveying, site layout, construction inspection, and data collection. The role involves managing daily field operations, ensuring safety and accuracy, and maintaining communication between field personnel and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities :

• Lead and supervise field crews on civil engineering and surveying projects.
• Conduct topographic, boundary, ALTA / NSPS, and construction layout surveys.
• Interpret civil engineering plans, specifications, and drawings.
• Set up and operate survey equipment such as GPS, total stations, and data collectors.
• Ensure quality control and accuracy of data collection and field work.
• Document field activities and prepare daily reports.
• Maintain field equipment and vehicles in good working condition.
• Ensure compliance with company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
• Communicate effectively with project managers, engineers, clients, and contractors.
• Train and mentor junior crew members.
