We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Level Bookkeeper to join our team and ensure the financial health and integrity of our school’s operations.
Job Summary
The Senior Level Bookkeeper will oversee all financial activities, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance. This role is critical in maintaining the fiscal health of the school, providing financial insights, and ensuring adherence to financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, excellent analytical skills, and great attention to detail.
Both full-time and part-time schedules are available.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Perform financial analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Oversee internal controls and audit processes.
- Assist with financial audits and coordinate with external auditors.
- Provide financial guidance and support to school administration and board members.
- Implement and maintain financial systems and software.
Qualifications
Bookkeeping Certification and QuickBooks Pro Certification.Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance (experience in the education sector preferred).Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.High level of integrity and attention to detail.
