CPC Certified Coding Manager

A company is looking for a Manager, Professional Billing Coding Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee the operational functions of the Professional Coding Operations team, ensuring accuracy in coding and compliance with guidelines

Supervise and mentor coding staff, providing training and feedback based on performance and coding updates

Analyze coding denials and trends, collaborating with stakeholders to improve coding practices and resolve issues

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

CPC - Certified Professional Coder certification required

Minimum of five years of coding experience in an acute care hospital, with at least three years in a management role

Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 coding conventions, as well as experience with claim edits and denials

Extensive knowledge of hospital reimbursement methodologies and health records systems
