Job Title : Health and Safety Advisor

Location : Multiple sites within the Energy industry; travel between sites on a monthly basis.

Salary : $85,000 - $120,000 per year

Type : Contract

Overview

As an experienced Health and Safety Advisor, you will promote a safe and healthy working environment by ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations. This role supports operations across power plants and involves traveling between sites.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage the Safety Management System within the organization.
• Analyze health and safety data to identify trends and potential areas of improvement.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to minimize exposure to hazards.
• Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
• Conduct incident investigations and provide detailed reports with recommendations to prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure training in emergency procedures for all employees.
• Provide health and safety training to employees and management.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
• Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Promote a positive safety culture through effective communication and leadership.
