About the role
When the plant settles into the quiet rhythm of the night shift, you bring the operation to life. As our Injection Molding Equipment Reliability Technician, you’ll keep complex plastics processing and auxiliary systems running at their best on the 3rd Shift (10 : 30 PM – 7 : 00 AM, Monday–Friday) . You’ll report to the Maintenance Supervisor and work on-site with the Plastics Maintenance Team in Indianapolis, IN.
What your night looks like
- Jump into scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, applying your know-how to diagnose, repair, and improve automated molding and related equipment.
- Use predictive, preventive, and proactive practices to spot issues early and keep throughput steady.
- Troubleshoot independently, apply root cause analysis, and implement solutions using established procedures and scientific methods.
- Perform precise condition assessments, recommend modifications, and drive actions that enhance production reliability and support quality system compliance.
What you’ll bring
Experience : 2+ years maintaining and repairing automated industrial machinery; plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.Mechanical strength : Proven ability to solve typical manufacturing problems with minimal oversight.Electrical and utilities : Comfortable with basic electrical systems from 24VDC up to 480VAC, OEM controls, machining operations, standard plumbing, and pneumatics.Physical and work environment
Lift, move, or carry up to 30 lbs.Regular standing, bending, walking, and climbing.Nice to have
Clear communication, strong organization, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Background in medical industry environments or experience relocating / commissioning machinery.Foundational automation / programming exposure.Welding and fabrication skills.Compensation and benefits
Hourly rate : $32.00 .
