Tristar Engineering & Management, Inc. (Tristar) is an Arizona owned and operated professional engineering firm headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona with additional offices in Tucson and Gilbert, Arizona. We are offering a great opportunity to a qualified Project Managers / Construction Manager with proven construction management engineering experience for government and private contracts. Responsibilities
- Manage construction capital improvement projects (CIPs) as an Owner's Rep with heavy emphasis on underground utilities and roads; civil infrastructure and public works elements.
- Apply principles, methods, and techniques of civil engineering to the construction of drainage systems, underground utilities (gas, electric, fiber, water and reclaimed water systems, sanitary sewer and storm systems), road and bridge construction, traffic control improvements, asphalt and concrete paving, and signalized intersection improvements.
- Oversee municipal CIP projects that include buildings, parks, libraries, and public facilities.
- Oversee utility projects with emphasis on water, sewer, and gas line installation or rehabilitation.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, project managers, contractors, and inspection staff; document field construction activities and monitor scope, schedule, and budget using appropriate project management software.
Qualifications
Experience managing construction capital improvement projects (CIPs) as an Owner's Rep with heavy emphasis on underground utilities and roads.Strong background in civil infrastructure and related construction practices for drainage, underground utilities, roads, bridges, paving, and traffic control.Experience with municipal CIP projects including buildings, parks, libraries, and public works facilities.Experience with utility projects—water, sewer, and gas line installation or rehabilitation.Excellent communication skills; ability to coordinate with engineers, project managers, contractors, and inspection staff; proficient use of project management software to monitor scope, schedule, and budget.Background not required to be a Professional Engineer (PE).Employer Information
