JOB SUMMARY
The Facilities Manager supports and manages the day-to-day operations of various regional facilities to ensure the operations, maintenance, and vendor management standards met in a cost-effective, safe and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / DUTIES
- Collaboratively leads master plan development, in alignment with overall business goals and organizational strategies.
- Prepares cost estimates, timelines / schedules with completion estimates, and prepares purchase requisitions for assigned projects.
- Negotiates contracts with outside vendors and holds vendors to established timelines.
- Oversees acquisition, installation, operation, maintenance and disposition of building systems, including furniture and equipment.
- Manages the maintenance of building structures, interiors, grounds and exterior elements
- Manages real estate assets, lease portfolios and required documents.
- Develops and implements practices that promote and protect health, safety, security, the quality of work life, the environment and organizational effectiveness.
- Manages developmental efforts of facility services to make innovative improvements in facilities
- Develops and manages emergency preparedness procedures, including disaster recovery plans
- Conducts all pre-planning and coordination of facilities, property development, and / or changes; coordinates all necessary work to accomplish move / addition / change including but not limited to cost estimates, bid sheets, layouts, and contracts for construction and acquisitions.
- Develops, implements and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
- Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected; ensures property is in compliance with all safety and sanitation policies, procedures and regulations.
- Interfaces with appropriate staff / managers to receive information regarding facilities' needs; ensures timely response to requests.
- Interfaces with appropriate staff / managers, engineers and outside contractors to review and / or develop renovation and new construction plans; coordinates communication with and work outside of contractors.
- Prepares accurate and timely reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Five years of facility management or building operations experience.Three years of project management and budgeting experience.High school diploma, some college preferred.Thorough knowledge of city and state building codes and all local and state regulationsStrong organizational, problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to prioritize among several projectsProficient in Microsoft OfficeEEO Statement
