Job Description : Summary

The Business Development Manager (BDM) FMS will drive growth by cultivating new customer relationships within their designated sales territory. This role focuses on educating prospects on Ryder's value proposition and strategically aligning solutions to meet their needs through the Ryder Sales Process. The BDM will design sales plans, assess the profitability of potential clients, and stay informed about competitive dynamics and risks associated with each account.

Sales Territory : Toledo, Fremont & Findlay

Compensation : Competitive annual base salary plus attractive, uncapped commission potential.

Essential Functions

• Formulate pre-sales strategies for targeted accounts and maintain a robust sales activity pipeline to exceed revenue quotas. Proactively respond to provided leads and represent the complete suite of Ryder services. Collaborate with ARs and CDMs to transition accounts and maximize sales opportunities. Partner with National Sales to generate new opportunities in the assigned territory and ensure successful new customer onboarding.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments, identifying client requirements and developing value-based proposals. Continuously enhance account-selling strategies to boost effectiveness, while keeping GMs & CDMs informed of ongoing sales efforts. Provide necessary administrative support for successfully transitioned accounts.
• Regularly report on sales activities and adherence to sales protocols. Establish productive working relationships across all levels of the organization and leverage available resources (e.g., MDS, Safety, Finance) to uncover new business opportunities. Create detailed account profiles for all prospect interactions.
• Engage in ongoing training to enhance sales skills, industry knowledge, and personal growth.

Compensation Information :

The compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including candidate experience and education. This position might be eligible for bonuses, commissions, and / or long-term incentive plans. Compensation ranges are as follows :

Pay Type : Salaried

Minimum Pay Range : $55,000

Maximum Pay Range : $60,000
