Traveling Superintendent (commercial construction)

Job Description

Position Overview :

As a Traveling Superintendent, you'll play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of the on-site construction of commercial projects from the ground up.

Responsibilities :

• Project Leadership :  Oversee all on-site activities for ground-up commercial projects, coordinating subcontractors and managing daily operations from site preparation to completion.
• Quality Assurance :  Uphold strict quality standards throughout the construction process, ensuring that all work meets or surpasses expectations.
• Schedule Management :  Create and maintain on-site work schedules, coordinating subcontractors to ensure timely completion of tasks within budget.
• Collaboration :  Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to achieve project goals.
• Safety :  Prioritize and enforce on-site safety protocols and regulations.
• Problem Solving :   Identify and resolve on-site construction issues promptly, implementing practical solutions to maintain project momentum and efficiency.
• Communication :  Serve as the primary on-site liaison, facilitating clear and timely information exchange between subcontractors, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and resolve issues promptly.
• Field Management :  Provide day-to-day oversight on project sites, communicating with subs and trades.
• Logistical Coordination :  Manage supplies, materials, equipment, and personnel efficiently.
• Motivation :  Demonstrate ability to motivate subs and trades to meet deadlines and overcome obstacles creatively.
• Other duties as assigned :  Perform additional responsibilities as required to support the successful completion of projects and organizational objectives
