Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year at a K-12 school located in Sterling Heights, MI. This contract role focuses on supporting high school students, providing tailored instruction and support to approximately 13-14 students with diverse learning needs. The position requires on-site presence and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive and effective learning environment.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
• Adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate varying learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student success
• Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting instructional strategies as needed
• Maintain a positive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and growth
