Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate and maintain manual machining equipment, including mills, lathes, shears, and surface grinders. The ideal candidate has hands-on machining experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce precise, high-quality work in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate manual mill, lathe, shear, and surface grinding machines

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions

Perform setup, adjustments, and measurements to meet specifications

Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and tolerance

Maintain machines and tools in safe, working condition

Follow safety standards and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals

Qualifications

Previous experience with manual machining (mill, lathe, shear, surface grinding) required

Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with precision tools and measuring devices

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
