Chief Refinery Inspector

The Inspection Department is seeking a leader to supervise and provide direction. Key responsibilities include :

• Supervising and providing leadership and direction to the Inspection Department.
• Providing supervision and coordination of contract inspection personnel during shutdown and extended duration inspection projects.
• Developing and implementing programs to ensure the reliability and safety of fixed equipment.
• Providing root cause failure analysis of components including corrosion research, reporting and supervision of metallurgical analysis.
• Publishing written reports on inspection findings and failure analysis.
• Providing expertise regarding design, fabrication, repair, alteration, inspection, and testing of equipment.
• Providing fixed equipment design and repair expertise through research and repair recommendations consistent with applicable industry codes, standards, and specifications.
• Providing inspection guidance in turnaround planning.
• Reviewing and editing inspection recommendations and reports for code and engineering compliance.
• Supporting and backfilling the Mechanical Reliability Manager as needed.

This position is salaried exempt status. All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
