The Inspection Department is seeking a leader to supervise and provide direction. Key responsibilities include :
- Supervising and providing leadership and direction to the Inspection Department.
- Providing supervision and coordination of contract inspection personnel during shutdown and extended duration inspection projects.
- Developing and implementing programs to ensure the reliability and safety of fixed equipment.
- Providing root cause failure analysis of components including corrosion research, reporting and supervision of metallurgical analysis.
- Publishing written reports on inspection findings and failure analysis.
- Providing expertise regarding design, fabrication, repair, alteration, inspection, and testing of equipment.
- Providing fixed equipment design and repair expertise through research and repair recommendations consistent with applicable industry codes, standards, and specifications.
- Providing inspection guidance in turnaround planning.
- Reviewing and editing inspection recommendations and reports for code and engineering compliance.
- Supporting and backfilling the Mechanical Reliability Manager as needed.
Requirements for this position include :
High School diploma or GED required.10 years of experience with fixed equipment reliability and / or engineering experience required.Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero Texas City Refinery, required.Bachelor's degree preferred.This position is salaried exempt status. All successful candidates must be eligible to obtain a TWIC card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential).
