What We Are Looking For :

  • 2 - 5 years or more experience industrial or manufacturing electro-mechanical maintenance, or equivalent military background.
  • Experience troubleshooting bearings, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, and electrical / mechanical equipment.
  • Experience reading technical drawings and schematics.
  • Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds each.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
  • Ability to stand / walk for up to 10-12 hours.
  • Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.
  • Excellent references and attendance record is a must.
  • Ability to troubleshoot / repair industrial electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge and Ability to use standard measurement tools and electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret equipment tech manuals, schematics and blueprints.
  • Must complete OJT for specific job classification, as required, in a timely manner.

What Will Put You Ahead :

  • Licensed Industrial Tradesman.
  • NCDOL Journeyman Apprentice - Trade Skills Program.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a Fiber Optics Cabling organization.
  • Experience programming PLCs.
  • Experience working with 24v, 120v, 240v and 480 / 3-phase electrical knowledge.
  • Experience with MIG, TIG, Arc welding.
  • Experience with a manual lathe and milling machine.
  • Multi-craft capabilities such as : welding, pipe fitting, precision millwright, and lubrication / filtration.

  • Willing to work overtime and flexible hours, including holidays to support emergencies and planned maintenance activities.
