Location : Located in the Medford Office location
Schedule and Pay : Full-time position with the expectation of attending office hours from 9AM-5PM.
This position is an hourly role.
Job Summary :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized HR Generalist to support key areas of our
HR operations. This role focuses on managing employee accommodations, relations,
administering protected leave, coordinating SAIF (workers’ compensation) claims, maintaining
leave tracking systems, and supporting the HR Supervisor on special projects and key
performance indicators (KPIs). This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a

Key Responsibilities :
Accommodations & Protected Leave :
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee accommodations under ADA an similar policies
- Coordinate and manage protected leave processes (OFLA, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
- Communicate with employees and managers to ensure a smooth and confidential leave / accommodation experience
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal policies
Leave Management & Systems
Monitor, track, and update leave balances and status in internal systemsMaintain and improve leave-related workflows and documentationLiaise with payroll and HRIS systems to ensure accurate leave tracking and pay adjustmentsSAIF Claims (Workers' Compensation) :
Initiate and manage SAIF claims, coordinating with employees, supervisors, and SAIF representativesTrack claims status and documentationAssist with return-to-work programs and modified duty placementsHR Projects & KPI Support :
Assist the HR Supervisor with HR-related projects and initiativesCollect, track, and analyze HR metrics and KPIs (e.g., leave utilization, claim trends, case turnaround times)Working the the HR Supervisor on retention needs and employee satisfactionHelp prepare HR reports and dashboards for leadership reviewDemographic reports, payroll, financial reports, etcGeneral HR Support :
Support broader HR functions as needed (e.g., employee file maintenance, compliance audits)Participate in continuous improvement of HR processes and policiesBe the main POC for employee disciplinary actions, terminations and hiring-Help the County Manager team with any questions surrounding Medicaid Fraud reports, Abuse reports, terminations, etcBe the main POC for employee annual performance reviews-Help the County Manager team with any questions surrounding Direct Support Professional ReviewsMaintain confidentiality and professionalism in all employee interactionsPartner with the Payroll / Benefits Specialist on benefits for Impact of Oregon-Help with OE processes annuallyPrioritize employee satisfaction and communication for the best experience possible for our employeesRequirements : Qualifications :
2+ years of experience in Human Resources as an HR Generalist or higher position level
Familiarity with leave laws and accommodation processes (FMLA, OFLA, ADA, etc.)
Knowledge of SAIF or other workers’ compensation claim systems (preferred)
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Proficiency in HRIS, leave tracking systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel in
particular)
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
