- Job Description Assistant Technician The Assistant Technician is responsible for assisting the Lead Water Mitigation Technician in performing top-quality water mitigation services for residential and commercial properties according to IICRC standards, while delivering excellent customer service.
- This role involves hands-on, construction-related work and requires 24 / 7 'on-call / emergency response' availability.
- Ideal candidates should have experience in residential and commercial construction, and can confidently explain mitigation and contents processes to customers on-site.
- Success in this position requires strong attention to detail and proficiency in completing precise, software-assisted documentation.
Job Requirements :
Load and organize equipment, products, and supplies for each project Set up, clean, and maintain work areas to ensure safe, efficient operations Perform restoration tasks, including water extraction, demolition, cleaning, drying, and deodorization, following RestoPros of Lehigh Valley standards and under the direction of the Lead Water Mitigation Technician.Communicate clearly with management, the Lead Water Mitigation Technician, and other team members to ensure quality results and customer satisfaction Maintain vehicles and equipment in a clean, ready-to-use condition.Complete end-of-day and end-of-job clean up, leaving every property neat and orderly Qualifications :
Strong communication skills and a professional, customer-first attitude.Ability to follow directions and work as part of a high-performing team.Prior restoration or construction experience preferred, but we provide full training.Comfortable working in attics, crawl spaces or elevated areas.Ability for 24 / 7 on-call shifts Positive attitude, trustworthiness, dependability, and a pleasant personality.A growth mindset focused on continuous improvement and career development within the company.Strong multitasking, organizational skills, and quick responsiveness to various situations.Experience with general construction and demolition tools and tasks.Proficient in warehouse and equipment maintenance, including logging equipment usage, restocking inventory, and ensuring equipment remains in excellent condition.Ability to manage systems, including data entry, and experience with industry-related software.Experience working with Xactimate is a huge plus.Ready and willing to work overtime as needed.Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Capable of writing routine reports and correspondence.Reliable transportation to and from work.Willingness to undergo a background check.Willingness to undergo a driving record check – must have a clean driving record.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50 pounds and up to 100 pounds with assistance.Comfortable climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, and working in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics) Able to sit, stand, and walk for prolonged periods.Capable of repetitive pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying objects.Experience :
