SLED Business Development Manager

As a SLED Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving the growth of our business by nurturing relationships with existing low spend clients and identifying net new business opportunities. You will play a key role in expanding our client base and ensuring that clients are not only satisfied but also deeply engaged with our services. The ultimate goal is to create long-lasting relationships through annuity clients that could one day be passed over to Account Management for continued success and service delivery.
Key responsibilities :
- Client Acquisition & Growth :
Identify and develop net new business opportunities by prospecting and reaching out to potential clients.
Expand relationships with existing low-spend clients by understanding their evolving needs and positioning our solutions effectively.Proactively manage a sales pipeline, from lead generation to closing, ensuring timely follow-up and conversion.Solution Selling :Understand and communicate the full range of our solutions to prospective and existing clients.
Tailor product / service offerings to meet client needs, demonstrating the value and ROI of our solutions.Create compelling proposals and presentations that effectively highlight the benefits and unique selling points of our solutions.Assess the best level of service for each SLED client based on their needs and budget. If design or installation services are needed, this role would work with a project executive to team on the opportunity. The project executive would be responsible for taking lead to execute the project.Client Retention & Engagement :Build strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns to maintain trust and loyalty.
Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling.Sales Strategy & Account Planning :Develop and execute targeted account plans to penetrate new business and expand existing accounts.
Analyze market trends, client data, and industry opportunities to craft effective sales strategies for each target account.Collaborate with internal teams to tailor strategies and solutions that align with the unique needs of high-potential accounts.Set clear sales targets and create action plans to drive measurable results and exceed business development goals.Qualifications :
Proven experience in business development, sales, or account management, ideally in a B2B environment.Strong ability to identify and close new business opportunities, with a demonstrated track record of success in achieving sales targets.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels of an organization.Experience in or knowledge of the furniture industry is a plus.Experience in or knowledge of the SLED audience base is a plus.Ability to think strategically and tailor solutions to client needs.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to overcome objections.Proficient in CRM software and sales tools.Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.Ability to think independently, strategically and tailor solutions to client needs.Why Vari :
