Job Title : Senior Network Engineer

Location : Tampa, FL 33619 ( Onsite for first 90 days , then hybrid 2 days remote)

Type : 3-Month Contract-to-Hire

Overview :

Our client is seeking a Network Engineer to join their IT infrastructure team. This role requires a true engineering professional - not just a network administrator - capable of designing, implementing, and maintaining complex enterprise network environments.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, configure, and optimize LAN / WAN architectures across multiple sites.
  • Manage enterprise-grade Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure secure and reliable connectivity.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and performance tuning across network layers.
  • Lead network infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and scalability initiatives.
  • Collaborate with security and systems teams to maintain compliance and high availability.
  • Document configurations, topologies, and network policies in detail.

Required Skills & Experience :

  • 8+ years of professional experience as a Network Engineer in enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in Cisco networking technologies (routing, switching, VPNs, QoS, VLANs, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of LAN / WAN design, network security, and performance optimization.
  • Proven ability to manage complex network projects end-to-end.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
