About the team

At Roku, we like to say that there are no bystanders, and that is as true in the advertising team as it is in any other facet of the company. We work together to ensure our clients understand this new world of advertising, that they are making the best possible decisions to support their own goals, and drive advertiser interest and engagement across the board. The Client Services team is responsible for managing and growing Rokus partnerships with Advertisers and ultimately enabling our clients to reach their business objectives.

About the role

The Head of Account Management, Advertising, is a pivotal leadership role responsible for overseeing and directing the strategic account management function for our largest Holding Companies and Agency Account Management Teams. This role is crucial in maintaining and expanding our client relationships, ensuring the delivery of exceptional advertising deals, and driving the overall growth of the organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in running a large organization, deep understanding of Agency dynamics for TV & Digital advertising and proven expertise in working with Sales Leaders.

For New York Only - The estimated annual salary for this position is between $289,000-$343,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location.

What youll be doing

Leadership & Strategy :

  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team of account managers, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategic account management plans to drive client satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align account management strategies with overall business objectives.

Client Relationship Management :

  • Serve as the contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
  • Oversee the delivery of tailored advertising solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with clients to assess performance, identify opportunities, and address any issues.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of programmatic advertising to guide the development and execution of advanced ad strategies as the CTV industry shifts to 3P DSPs
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to ensure Roku remains at the forefront of programmatic innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to leverage data and technology for optimized campaign performance.
  • Operational Excellence :

  • Oversee the operational aspects of account management, ensuring efficient processes, resource allocation, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Implement performance metrics and reporting systems to monitor and improve team and campaign performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency.
  • Leadership & Sales Partnerships :

  • Provide strategic leadership to the account management team, fostering a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company revenue and client retention goals.
  • Partner closely with sales leadership to drive cross-functional collaboration, support upsell and renewal strategies, and ensure seamless handoff and lifecycle management of key accounts.
  • Serve as a senior stakeholder in enterprise client relationships, offering executive oversight while empowering account managers to deliver value, deepen engagement, and exceed growth targets.
  • Were excited if you have

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in account management within the advertising media industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Experience running and leading large teams
  • Strong programmatic / ad tech ecosystem industry understanding
  • Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a strong focus on driving business growth.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior Sales leadership.
