Role Summary

As a Clerical Assistant , you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of administrative operations. This position supports the overall care experience by managing the secure handling and distribution of mail, maintaining accurate records, and providing essential clerical support. Duties
Sort, process, and distribute incoming and outgoing mail promptly and accurately
Prepare, package, and document outgoing correspondence, including sensitive documents such as checks for mailing to providers
Maintain accurate records of mailed items; support tracking, follow-up, and reporting as needed
Ensure the secure, confidential handling of financial documents and sensitive information
Perform routine administrative duties including filing, data entry, and document organization
Communicate effectively with team members to provide mail status updates and delivery confirmations
Perform additional duties as assigned to support administrative operations
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of general office procedures and basic administrative skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Self-starter with strong time management and organizational abilities
Experience operating office equipment such as copiers, postage meters, scanners, and telephones
Desired Qualifications
Previous experience in an administrative, clerical, or mailroom position
Business school training or related secretarial experience preferred
Pre-Employment Requirements
Reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and minimum state-required liability auto insurance
Medical clearance for communicable diseases; up-to-date immunizations prior to patient contact
Successful completion of a comprehensive background check.

Ability to write and respond to correspondence professionally
Work Environment and Physical Demands
This position operates in a dynamic healthcare setting that includes an adult day health center and primary care clinic. The role may involve exposure to moderate noise levels, varied indoor temperatures, and a collaborative team environment.
Location and Work Type
On-site – This is an in-person position based in a healthcare setting.
Part-time - One day a week, on an ongoing assignment.
