Finance Systems Manager
LaSalle Network is partnering with a rapidly growing software startup in Chicago to identify a Finance Systems Manager. This individual will be responsible for building and scaling the company's finance technology ecosystem, ensuring the tools and processes in place support accurate reporting, faster closes, and stronger compliance. This role will collaborate across Finance, RevOps, and IT teams to streamline workflows, automate key processes, and deliver high-quality data insights to leadership. This role will follow a 5x in office schedule downtown and is budgeted up to a base of $150,000 commensurate with experience with additional bonus potential.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary owner and administrator of core financial systems, including ERP (to be determined), expense management, billing / revenue tools, procurement, payroll, and FP&A platforms.
- Oversee system governance, including roles, permissions, workflows, and audit trails, to maintain security and compliance.
- Partner with finance leadership to redesign key processes, embedding automation and internal controls.
- Lead system implementations and enhancements, from vendor selection through design, testing, and go-live.
- Manage integrations across applications.
- Establish strong master data governance (chart of accounts, vendors, customers, and items) and maintain standards for accuracy and consistency.
- Deliver timely, actionable reporting and dashboards to support close, forecasting, and performance management.
Qualifications
6+ years of experience in finance systems, ERP administration, or financial process transformation.Hands-on expertise with mid-market ERPs (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, MS Dynamics) and related financial applications.Proven success leading system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.Strong understanding of core finance processes (O2C, P2P, R2R) and ability to translate policies into system design.Experience working in a high-growth or startup environment preferred.Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
