Regulatory Compliance Manager

This role can be based in San Francisco or Mountain View.
LinkedIn is seeking a Governance, Risk and Compliance Manager with expertise in legal and regulatory compliance to join our Global Compliance and Integrity team. This role blends strategic and operational responsibilities, partnering with cross-functional stakeholdersincluding Legal, Product, Engineering, and Financeto identify risks and establish governance and compliance processes to manage them in line with the company's risk appetite.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of global regulatory frameworks and demonstrate experience translating legal requirements into actionable compliance controls. You will be a key contributor to strengthening LinkedIn's compliance posture, helping ensure adherence to laws such as the Digital Services Act (DSA), Digital Markets Act (DMA), GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead dynamic, risk-based governance and assurance assessments, including post-remediation validations, with a focus on legal and regulatory risk.
- Conduct dynamic, risk assessments and support a dynamic, risk-based assurance plan.
- Translate regulatory requirements into innovative compliance solutions, processes, and controls that fulfill legal obligations and align with business needs.
- Drive change management initiatives for compliance programs across the organization.
- Define, track, and report compliance metrics and KPIs to leadership, utilizing dashboards and regular updates.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement in risk and compliance.
- Partner with Legal and cross-functional teams to monitor regulatory developments, assess impact, and efficiently and effectively address relevant risks.
- Support management in handling complex issues with internal and external auditors.
- Participate and / or lead special or ad-hoc projects and initiatives.
- Manage co-sourced consultants and optimize their engagement according to budget.
- Demonstrate impeccable ethics and professional conduct.
- Stay abreast of current events and regulatory changes impacting LinkedIn.
- Support internal and external audits, regulatory inquiries, and enforcement actions.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in business, law, management information systems, or related field or equivalent practical experience.4+ years of experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, or audit.Demonstrated ability to interpret complex legal requirements into effectively risk-balanced compliance solutions and controls.Preferred Qualifications :
Master's degree in business, management information systems, Law Degree or related field.CIA, CPA, CISA or equivalent certification.Experience with regulatory requirements impacting the tech industry (DMA, DSA, AI regulation).Effective project management and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate across teams and influence stakeholders.Strong analytical skills and experience structuring solutions in complex, ambiguous environments.Experience leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) tools and technologies to enhance compliance processes, monitoring, and reporting.Demonstrated experience with compliance automation and GRC platforms (Power BI, Tableau, ServiceNow).Proven ability to champion legal compliance initiatives by partnering cross-functionally to ensure alignment with global standards (GDPR, CCPA, DSA, OSA).Experience working within a technology company operating on a global scale.Suggested Skills :

The pay range for this role is $105,000 to $141,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
