Sandy Cove Ministries is seeking a part-time Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team.
Position Summary : The Housekeeping Team Supervisor is responsible for supporting the Housekeeping Manager in directing department staff and operations, and assisting in all aspects of housekeeping, to achieve a consistent guest satisfaction rating of 3.6 or above (on a 4-point scale).
General Purpose : To help ensure that Sandy Cove Ministries' guests have clean and pleasant rooming accommodations to not be distracted from the Sandy Cove experience.

Essential Job Functions / Responsibilities :
In the absence of the Housekeeping Manager, help to oversee and run the department effectivelyAssist in spiritually leading department staff with devotions, prayer, and encouragementHelp ensure all Chesapeake Lodge guests arrive and enjoy comfortable, clean accommodationsPerform administrative duties (i.e. forms, reports)Perform ongoing cleaning inspections to ensure qualityDevelop and maintain a good working rapport with other departments to ensure proper preparation for guests and groupsHelp assure cleanliness and safety of the facilities for guests and staff; clean guest rooms and common areas as neededProfessionally clean guest rooms, using proper sanitary procedures, by changing bed linens, scrubbing bathrooms, restocking amenities, polishing furniture, restocking all amenities (towels, trash bags, soaps, etc.) checking for lost items under beds and behind furniture, and vacuuming, mop rooms and hallway.Perform deep cleaning responsibilities as assigned (wash walls and vents, move furniture to clean, and clean windows)Clean summer staff cabins, dorms, motels, and upper lodging facilities as necessaryAssist with lobby duties as neededAssist with laundry as needed by sorting, washing, drying, and folding all linens used in guest roomsDelegate work assignments to housekeeping staff in the absence of the Housekeeping Manager; follow and encourage colleagues to follow SCM Housekeeping Department standards. Help ensure all health & safety regulations are adhered to as mandated by law and Sandy Cove policyReview complaints and grievances and make necessary oral / written reports to management; escalate maintenance requests to the Maintenance teamUtilize skill level sheets to assist in staff training and developmentProactively monitor housekeeping supplies and equipment; communicate supply needs to the Housekeeping Manager for timely orderingHelp work towards creating an employee team-oriented learning environmentOther housekeeping duties as assignedEssential skills and experience :
Ability to make independent decisions and problem-solveKnowledgeable of housekeeping practices, procedures, and guidelines about hotel facilitiesAbility to help create a team environmentNonessential skills and experience :
