T&E lawyer with experience in estate planning for high net worth individuals - New Haven
Seeking a mid-level Trusts & Estates Associate with 5+ years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate to work in our New Haven office. The position requires significant client contact and the ability to excel when working independently. Superior client communication, writing, research, computer, and organizational skills are a must.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Administration of trusts and estates from inception to completion
- Billing
- Reviewing and drafting trust and probate administration documents and other related documents
- Drafting wills, trusts, powers of attorney, health care directives, deeds, beneficiary designation forms, and other estate planning documents
- Conducting legal research regarding complex procedural and substantive issues related to probate and estate planning
- Building relationships with existing and prospective clients through networking and business development activities
Qualifications and Skills :
5+years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, and probate administrationJuris Doctorate degreeMust be licensed in ConnecticutLicensed in Florida, a plus.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Microsoft Word and ExcelAdvanced research and writing skills including proficiency with legal research tools, including WestLaw, LexisStrong academic and employment credentialsMust have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writingMust have the ability to work independently and efficiently, as well as in a team environment involving extensive collaboration with other attorneys, paralegals, and office staffOutstanding organizational and communication skillsMust have excellent attention to detailThe ideal candidate will have experience in dealing with high net worth clienteleBenefits :
