Maintenance Associate

The Maintenance Department is responsible for health and safety issues and the upkeep and daily operations of the facilities on the Pearlstone campus. Pearlstone offers a full retreat center with several guest accommodation options, summer camp facilities, an organic farm operation, swimming pools, and more. Maintenance handles small carpentry repairs, minor plumbing and electrical issues, drywall and painting repairs, appliance maintenance, and time-sensitive requests from guests and staff. Branded apparel and / or nametags are provided and expected to be worn when large groups / events are on campus. Some evening and weekend hours may be required.

Job Summary :

• Maintenance Associates work in accordance with Adamah policies and procedures, including safety and anti-harassment protocols (training provided).
• Execute tasks and repairs aligned with priorities set by the Director of Maintenance.
• Use skills in diagnostics and repair – minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc.
• Maintain appliances.
• Apply experience in building performance standards and methodologies.
• Work on long and short-term, small and large projects, independently and as part of a team.
• Maintain grounds, buildings, and vehicles according to governing bodies and codes.
• Work in all areas of the property, indoors and outdoors, including in inclement weather.
• Respond to staff and guest requests to ensure quality service across the campus.
• Maintain current safety and security standards.
• Hold a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions :

This is a non-exempt position with work hours Monday-Friday, with some travel and weekend work possible.

90 Day Check-In :

Ninety days from the first date of employment, there will be a check-in with your supervisor. An annual review will follow.
