Security Professional Unarmed Government Patrol Officer

As a Security Professional Unarmed Government Patrol Officer in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment. Your presence and routine patrols support a welcoming atmosphere while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. You will be a visible representative of Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and people-first culture, working collaboratively with others and always upholding integrity in your daily responsibilities.

Position Type : Full Time

Pay Rate : $25.02 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 30 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the government location and along its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or unauthorized individuals and report findings according to site protocols.
  • Support access control procedures by observing entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required.
  • Document incidents and observations in detailed reports for management review.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement and / or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unwanted activity and provide reassurance to staff and visitors.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Baton certification is preferred.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
