Strong attention to detail and precision required. Works with the team for problem solving and decision making. Must possess a positive attitude and work well with others as well as be able to work alone. Strong mechanical aptitude and critical thinking skills preferred. Must be able to set up and operate all manual and CNC machine tools. Including mills, lathes, swiss lathes, wire EDM, mill-turn and multi-axis machine tools. Training will be provided, but a basic knowledge preferred. Dependability Quick Learner Two-year technical degree in machining required. 2 - 5 years machinist / toolmaker experience preferred. Engineering and tool design experience is a plus. We currently have an opportunity for a ToolMaker / Machinist to join our team.
Work Hours : Monday-Friday 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m.
Responsibilities :
- Set up and operate various types of CNC equipment and / or manual machine tools.
- Must have computer skills and experience using CAD / CAM software.
- Must be able to perform close tolerance machining.
- Must be familiar with machine shop measuring and inspection equipment and quality control procedures.
- Must be able to successfully perform job functions, as directed by the manager.
- Ability to interpret part prints / blueprints.
- Plan and provide methods and procedures for manufacturing, repair and maintenance of parts, tools, molds, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
- Assist in planning, designing, and quoting new and revised tooling projects.
- Build and machine new tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, piece parts, etc.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork during and at the completion of the job.
- Maintain and ensure a safe work environment.
