HR Benefits Specialist

They are seeking a Benefits Specialist to join their HR team and help drive the success of their benefits programs.
The Benefits Specialist will serve as a key member of the HR team, focusing on the administration and support of employee benefits programs. This individual will work closely with the Benefits Manager to manage health, welfare, retirement, and leave programs while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate will have prior, focused benefits administration experience and a strong interest in employee well-being.
Key Responsibilities :
- Administer health, dental, vision, life, and disability programs, including FMLA, ADA, STD, LTD, and 401(k).
- Assist with annual open enrollment, new hire benefits enrollment, and life event changes.
- Act as a liaison between employees, vendors, and payroll to resolve benefits-related issues.
- Maintain benefits data within HRIS (UKG highly preferred) and generate reports as needed.
- Partner with leadership on benefit design, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.
- Oversee benefit invoice reconciliation and coordinate vendor calls.
- Provide resources and training to employees regarding benefits programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits regulations.
- Support additional HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field required.Minimum 2 years of direct benefits administration experience (not just as part of a generalist role).Strong knowledge of FMLA / ADA / STD / LTD, open enrollment processes, and 401(k) administration.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including V-Lookups, Pivot Tables, and data imports / exports.Experience with HRIS (UKG preferred) and benefits compliance.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in a fast-paced environment.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Additional Details :
