Sr Advanced Turbomachinery Project Engineer

Job Description

Honeywell is currently hiring an experienced Sr. Advanced Turbomachinery Project Engineer to join their team in Torrance, CA.

As an Sr. Advanced Turbomachinery Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will provide expert-level technical leadership in the design and development of complex engineering projects, acting as the subject matter expert and driving technical excellence. You will report directly to our Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Overseeing the design, development and qualification of turbomachinery components including Gas Foil Bearings, Liquid Cooling Systems, Turbine Power Systems, Compressors and Fans which meet customer and internal requirements.
• Leading teams in establishing program plans with respect to cost and schedule.
• Identifying and resolving design problems of performance, strength, weight, material selection and finishes.
• Identifying and incorporating best practices for product design.
• Implementing development and qualification test objectives, writing test procedures, and overseeing the preparation of test units and the conduct of tests.
• Coordinating activities to reduce test data, prepares test reports.
• Production Technical support

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

The annual base salary range for this position is $117,000.00 - $147,000.00 Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline.
